It starts at the Neunkirchner Hütte in the Eselsberggraben, on the signposted hiking trail no. 926. The first section leads steeply through the forest. From the tree line it climbs moderately, the path is pleasant to walk. Past Tümpel you climb the Schoberscharte via the steep, rocky path to the summit cross. You should be sure-footed and not afraid of heights! Many peaks of the Niedere Tauern rise around the Schoberspitze. Once at the summit you can enjoy the view of the Greim, Hornfeldspitz, Talkenschrein, Hochstubofen... - the hike is rated at 3 1/2 hours.

The descent takes place on the ascent path.
